Raising the roof with Edwin McCain an event for habitat for humanity

How does shucking oysters, low country boil (shrimp and grits) and BBQ all with open bar sound? Now add an oldie but goody concert and we had ourselves a really good time!! Laura invited us to this event last Thursday and it was great.

Natalie going to work!

The oysters were steamed on the spot and layed out on these tables. Natalie wasted no time and started shucking them. It was obvious I had no idea what to do so she put me to work by getting the saltines and cocktail sauce as she went to work. They were yummy!

Laura joining in on the fun.

Natalie enjoying the oyster.

The concert was really good and of course we didn't miss the opportunity of a photo shot with Edwin!

This was "curly" as I named him when he was making eyes with me from the stage ;) His name, appropriately, is Larry.

So fun! Thanks ladies for a great night!

Kids staying in!

Jackson had a tough week of a nagging low grade fever.
We made the best of it by playing games, reading, coloring, sleeping and of course goofing off
with the camera!

Isabel lovin' on her favorite brother!

Like our mess?

A few mornings we did yoga on tv. They loved it and got a good workout too!

The kids had a great time goofing around and dancing...enjoy!

Isa can be a little stinker and here's a little blip of it ;)

Weekend trip to the beach

On February 20th. we headed to N.Myrtle with the Tam family. We celebrated Tony and Chad's birthday (both on this same day) and also we celebrated our 9th year anniversary. We stayed at the Dunes village resort. The weather was not for being outside so Kelly hooked us up with this great hotel with 2 indoor water parks. Jackson and Abby felt like the park was just for them as they held hands in the pools and going to the water slides...too cute!

Jackson and Abby picking up seashells in the freezing cold!

Isabel didn't want to walk so she plopped herself down and started gathering her shells.

Isabel was also cold but very bundled up.

Isabel and I bundled up enjoying the sound of the beach...one of my favorite sounds ;)

Chubster Carter almost asleep ;) A super baby!

Isabel loved holding Carter. She would kiss him several times and tell me, "Mommy, I kiss baby" like she couldn't believe she was doing it..so sweet.

Yes, Carter is only 4 months old and almost as long as Isa!!

Views from our balcony

Planning our day while Chad and Tony served up breakfast..our husbands rock!!

It's not a birthday without cake! We also ate at P.F. Changs...delicious! We had a great weekend that was too short! Thank you Tam family for an awesome time!!

We stopped at the outlets on our way out and the kids got in the Children's Place display...some onlookers really thought they were mannequins! Very funny!

Happy Valentine's day!

Jackson had an ice cream sunday party at school for Valentine's day. He had chocolate and vanilla ice cream along with several toppings. He also discovered he really likes cherries...Isabel took part in the fun too.
Isabel in the hall of the school...she can't wait to go to school here!

The kids wasted no time to dig in (at 10:30 am!!!)
No doubt a huge treat

Carsyn loves Isabel

The cutie pies!

Hazel, Jackson and Carsyn...showing their chocolate smiles!

Visiting our cousins!

We took a short weekend trip to Charlotte to visit TJ, Brian and Reese. We enjoyed our stay very much. The kids had a blast playing together at the park. We also loved eating out at a few great restaurants in the area....yum!

Lily and Isabel

Isabel and Lily love to play together..especially dress up. They took turns using the lipstick and they spent a long time talking on the phone together ;)

Tennis day!

We spent most of the day indoors having a lazy Saturday until we decided to go play tennis. Isabel stole the show totally looking the part. I tried to teach them a little bit but my efforts were for not because Isabel was busy running around throwing and catching balls and Jackson wanted to be the ball boy. They had a great time doing their thing and Chad and I did well hitting a bit while dodging the kiddos!
